I am neither CEO nor the governor of any state
Not even the owner of a farm house or estate
I live in libraries and parks or at the banks of brooks
My only assets are few nice friends and plenty of great books
My daily food is a piece of bread
A day without reading, I think I am dead
My reading includes philosophy, art and literature
A real feast for my mind, spirit soars with rapture
With Socrates or Russell, I can have a conversation
To talk to Tolstoy or Dostoyevsky, no need of invitation
Any day or time, for me, they all come in queue
Many evenings we celebrate an intellectual barbeque
Reading great books is a spiritual experience
Learning lessons from the history is my science
With money, success I never measure
For me, knowledge is the true treasure

Thank you!
Thanks for your reply
To boost my thoughts apply
I wrote few poems long back
May help, now your feedback
Here I am mostly in reading
Waking up my mind, and feeding
Like a sine wave, goes efficiency
Practice only leads one to proficiency
Many things we all know
Too much knowledge makes us slow?
Through others, sometimes we rediscover
Hidden talents and forbidden thoughts, we uncover
We all have responsibility baggages
But we can not live only for wages
We relive human life on stages
We are creating art since ages

Bless you!
You need my merit and service,
But you can't respect my voice
You feel a sort of insecurity,
Often you lose the maturity!
It may be my lonely evening walk
Or driving back from my work
Your crazy crowd suddenly will appear
Raise your middle fingers into the air
With madness, your scary faces scream; "f... you"
In silence, I pray; "God Bless you!"
You have a psychological problem
Keeping a race and color emblem
When ignorance sleeps with fantasy,
Comes nasty, follows hypocrisy
You need to cure this leprosy
Brother, we are living in democracy
But you can't respect my voice
You feel a sort of insecurity,
Often you lose the maturity!

Letter to My Son
You are still a lad, just learning how to stand
My poem, dear son, yet you can not understand
But I do write whatever my concern
About our family, one day you should learn
My grand parents of both sides
Were innocent and diligent farmers
Believed in god and hard work
Never waited for government or luck
Whole life they spent in plow
There was often cyclone or blow
Victims of nature and circumstances
Why couldn't they have better chances?
There was no school, nor hospital
Neither transportation nor canal
It was a big family, had only little money
With cattle and paddy, they lived happily
* * *
You are still a lad, just learning how to stand
My poem, dear son, yet you can not understand
But I do write whatever my concern
About our family, one day you should learn
My parents had basic education
Interested in welfare of the nation
The air filled with fight and frustration
Everywhere slogans and agitation
Finally our India got freedom
But it was not common man's kingdom
Situations were still the same!
Who could we blame?
It was the age of revolution
For better life, many wanted a solution
The young minds were filaments
They had steel ligaments
My father quit cultivation
Moved to another location
He started a new challenging life
With my mother, a traditional Hindu wife
My father chose business
It was a big success
He did many adventures
Could not guess future dangers!
The loss was terrible, our family in tremble!
It was so miserable, was life a gamble?
Though he mastered, the art of money making
He didn't know saving and wise investing
Did many charities, he had farmer blood
Done many mistakes, we struggled for food
The reality was painful, lessons were useful
Still glass was half full, wasn't life beautiful?
With a smile, everything my parents did accept
For them, nothing left. What else they kept?
Yet they had courage and commitment
Family care, their mission statement!
* * *
I got mustache and pimples, at an early age
Also got headache and troubles, had no tutelage
Problems and challenges, fuel for my abilities
Took family responsibilities, explored many possibilities
Society was my Open University
To understand human calamity
Exposed to many schools of thought
My knowledge, mostly self-taught
My parents loved me enough
To let me know rough and tough
I had seen the cruelty of human nature
Learned how to handle rupture and torture
I helped your mom to realize her strength
We respected each others wavelength
When god chooses our parents and relatives,
We choose our friends and interests
Entertainment is a wine, pleasure is a concubine
I have chosen a different line, to make my life divine
I am searching for the truth; my mind is full of youth
Heard a sacred whisper from goddess mouth
Human life has a purpose and meaning
Not only wealth creation, also we need philosophic thinking
Becoming better citizens, is our final destination
Our goal is universal love and self-realization
When your son is still a lad, who will be learning how to stand
Your poem, dear son, he need not understand

True Love
Though they fail often
The tides try again and again
To transform the rocks into art
Aren't they really smart?
They aim high, determination is above the sky
For each failure, their attempts multiply
They are intelligent and diligent
Same devotion day and night
Never take any rest
Always keep infinite zest
Eternal throbbing aspiration
Whence they get magical inspiration!
Who did holy whisper into their ears?
Putting same effort for years
Presenting the necklace of shapes
To the Mother Nature, the birthday cakes!
The tides try again and again
To transform the rocks into art
Aren't they really smart?
They aim high, determination is above the sky
For each failure, their attempts multiply
They are intelligent and diligent
Same devotion day and night
Never take any rest
Always keep infinite zest
Eternal throbbing aspiration
Whence they get magical inspiration!
Who did holy whisper into their ears?

To the Mother Nature, the birthday cakes!
Your world you have to create
You are unhappy with the world around
Why selfishness and cruelty on this ground?
No use of shedding tears
Enough you suffered for years
Listen, always world is the same
Brother, From Ape we all came
Transformation, still incomplete
Here and there, cheat and ill-treat
If wisdom is light, ignorance is dark
Hatred comes from fear; in dark, fear will bark
Study the great minds, always be in the light
Apply the Noble thoughts, make life more delight
You will be happy with the world around,
When you realize, you have a purpose on this ground.
Life is an adventurous journey, many wonders are in wait
Be smart in your choices, your world you have to create
Why selfishness and cruelty on this ground?
No use of shedding tears
Enough you suffered for years
Listen, always world is the same
Brother, From Ape we all came
Transformation, still incomplete
Here and there, cheat and ill-treat

Art kills Ego
Whenever I am in dilemma,
I try relaxing through world art cinema
It makes me laugh and weep,
And challenges me think in deep
It narrates me human history,
Reveals the hidden mystery
Our hopes, our dreams, our whole life, I see, dude!
I can watch the truth in nude!!
For a moment, daily disturbances become slow
New thoughts flow, new hopes glow
Our secret fears, our silly doubts, our all, let them go
Art always kills my ego
Watching art cinema, doing meditation, for me, both are same
Both make me more human, mind becomes pretty calm
Perhaps, while meditating, my eyes, I close!
When watching art cinema, all my senses, I enclose!!
I try relaxing through world art cinema
It makes me laugh and weep,
And challenges me think in deep
It narrates me human history,
Reveals the hidden mystery
